Gumera is a private practice owned by Mununjali woman Rachael Sandy-Whiteman and is based in Meeanjin (Brisbane).
Rachael recentently commenced Phd research with the University of Melbourne. Her studies and experience include a Masters in Narrative Therapy and Community Work, Diploma in Community Welfare and an Advanced Diploma in Ministry. Rachael has worked in the cultural, social and emotional wellbeing field for over 13 years in both urban and rural communities, including Indigenous community controlled areas.
Gumera provides counselling, supervision, training, personalised company workshops and produces podcasts and resources.
Gumera works with individuals and groups. We currently deliver support and projects to Bond University, Inala Wangara, Open Haven and the Dulwich Centre. Rachael also provides tutoring to masters students with Melbourne University.
